PTP Training Profile

PTP Quality Training Limited commenced business in 2004 under the Directorship of Helen Scourfield and Catherine Scourfield. Previous to 2004 the business was part of a group (managed by Helen Scourfield for 16 years), that mainly concentrated on Agricultural Training. The Group was effectively bought out in 2004 by Helen Scourfield, and forged ahead towards a new direction in training. The key areas of the business now focus’s on Health & Safety, Management (Soft Skills) training and a wide variety of Construction Plant and Machinery training programmes across a broad range of industries.

Helen says, "All of our courses are highly interactive, with delegates receiving plenty of individual attention supplemented by course materials and other media. We also work closely with the Health and Safety Executive to ensure that all course materials reflect current safe working practices. In today's climate of ever-changing regulations, more and more companies are realising the necessity of Health & Safety training within their business".

Our broad range of courses reflect our commitment in providing you with the all-important training solutions to support skill development. Given the opportunity, we at PTP Quality Training would welcome discussions to help with any challenges you or your company may face.

Helen Scourfield - Managing Director

Helen Scourfield"Learning skills development is my passion.  I want to share that passion with as many people as possible to excite and inspire them to reach new heights in their workplace.  I want to provide, with my Team of highly qualified professional instructors, learning solutions that are practical, powerful, and that deliver results to your expectations."

PTP Quality Training Limited commenced trading in 2004, following a successful buy out by Helen Scourfield, who had managed the Training Business for 18 years under another trading name.

As the new Managing Director, Helen undertook to expand the business and seek opportunities throughout the UK, following demand by clientele.

PTP became a CPCS Plant and Machinery Training and Assessment Centre during 2004.  This culminated with the addition of a practical training site in Wales, which offers foundation and assessment courses. A 10-metre high tower scaffold was built to provide Telehandler courses, together with the use of 360, 180, Ride on Roller, Forward Tipping Dumper and Agricultural Tractor categories.  Skills Category training also takes place at Client`s own sites throughout the UK using their own machinery.

With the expansion of the CPCS Construction Training Programmes, PTP also became an NVQ Plant & Machinery Centre, during 2006.  This increased the take up of candidates to move on from their Red Plant Trained Operator Cards to the NVQ and Blue Plant Competence Cards, an essential requirement of Major Contractors.

During late 2005, Helen moved the business forward again, becoming a Thomson Prometric Health & Safety Test Centre, where candidates take the test on line.

A major part of Helen’s work has been organising training and skills programmes for major client contracts throughout the UK and Italy.  (Please refer to our client list).  Many of our clients come back again and again, which is extremely rewarding, and reflects the confidence major players in the industry have in our Team.

I Would like to Introduce you to my "Head Office Team" :
